Scrabble letter values
Standard English Scrabble assigns these point values to each tile. Vowels and common consonants are worth 1; rare letters like Q and Z are worth 10.
- 1 point: A, E, I, O, U, L, N, S, T, R
- 2 points: D, G
- 3 points: B, C, M, P
- 4 points: F, H, V, W, Y
- 5 points: K
- 8 points: J, X
- 10 points: Q, Z
This calculator shows the base tile value of the word only — it doesn't include board bonuses like double-word or triple-letter squares, since those depend on where you place the tiles. Pair it with the anagram solver to find your highest-scoring play from a rack.
